Italia Design Center (IDC) was founded in 2007, and it’s the first school of design in Terni,Umbria,Italy. Its research and training activities are based on polytechnics and designed to build a new strategic profession: the environmental designer, which displays his skills in products, spaces and visual communication design, pointing at the territory’s traditions to recover and enhance its socio-cultural productive background.
University lecturers, researchers and professionals actively practising in their respective sectors offer students didactic contents tailored to their real needs.
Teaching activities take form of seminars, labs, workshops, internships, visits to productive sites in the area that hosts the school.
Project-works are a key tool, linking students to the working world in a more qualified way.
